Sperlonga:
At one time in history Sperlonga was known as the center of the
world afer the emperor Tiberious decided that this was where he
would like to live. Because of his decision all the important political
figures in Roman history were required to spend large amounts of
time in this city. At this time, Sperlonga became a major seat for
politics and power. Today Sperlonga is a picturesque town perched
on the rocky cliffs overlooking the Medditerrenian Sea. Murals throughout
the city depict the story of the ferocious Pirate Kayr-ad-Dyn who
fought the forces on the controlled seaboard in order to court the
beautiful princess Giulia Gonzaga (princess of one of Italys most
historical and famous families)
Gaeta: A
small picturesque town on the Medditeranien, Gaeta is known
for it's busstling fish markets that draw people from all over
Italy .The eyes of this town are said to have witnessed some
of Itlays most historic events. Also in Gaeta is one of Italys
most famous fountains whose rocks are said to have become smoothened
by the footsteps of years of important culture and meetings
of historical Roman and Spanish figures.
Formia:
Here
the famous politician and great legal mind Cicero was exiled
and later captured and killed by the followers of Mario. Pictured
to the left is the tomb of Cicero.
